Cross Connection Control

What is a Cross Connection?

A Cross Connection is any actual or potential connection between your drinking water and any non-potable source that results in contamination of the potable water system.

The Luttrell-Blaine-Corryton Utility District established a Cross Connection Control Program to comply with the rules and requirements set forth by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, Division of Water Supply, which requires all water purveyors to provide the safest water possible.

This required the Utility to implement a policy that would best protect all customers in the LBC Utility District jurisdiction from the possibility of contamination back siphoning into the water system. Luttrell Blaine Corryton makes every effort to ensure that customers enjoy a continuous supply of safe drinking water. We appreciate the help of our customers to maintain the quality of our water supply.   more...
